Pichardo was placed on a "internal refusal list" by American Airlines for $9,123. In 2021, a New York woman must pay thousands of dollars in damages for interfering with flight crew.

Kelly Pichardo, age 32, was sentenced to four months in prison and three years of probation. For interfering with flight crew, Pichardo was fined $9,123.

According to a news release, Pichardo and Leeza Rodriguez "engaged in disorderly and threatening behaviour" in February 2021.

The plane was redirected to Phoenix, where the females were evacuated, according to a DOJ news release.

The defense for Pichardo asked sixty months of probation or house detention, arguing that she suffered from mental illness and was aroused during the 2021 trip.
