Fairview Fire kills 2 and forces evacuations in California

The Fairview wildfire in Hemet, California, killed two persons and injured another.

Cal Fire and Riverside County Fire Department updated the fire late Monday.

Saying that the fire had grown to cover 700 acres and was only 5% under control.

About 80 miles east of Los Angeles is where the fire is.

Cal Fire says that it destroyed at least seven buildings and hurt many more.

The two dead haven't been identified yet.

East Hemet neighborhoods were evacuated approximately an hour after the Fairview fire erupted.

Several structures caught fire, and one individual suffered burns.
