After receiving a taxpayer's tax return, the IRS issues an Income Tax Return Verification (ITR-V) as a confirmation of receipt.

Check the verification, print out a copy, sign, and email the document to CPC Bangalore to finish the process of filing returns.

The user can track the status of his or her ITR-V receipt once he or she has submitted it online to the Internal Revenue Service.

A signed copy of ITR-V (Acknowledgement receipt) can be sent to the Income tax department if you are unable to e-verify your Income Tax Return.

To obtain the ITR V form, follow these simple instructions.

Step 1: Go to the website for Income tax India and click on "login here."

Step 2: Select "View Returns/ Forms" to view electronically filed tax returns.

Click the acknowledgment number of the ITR for which you wish to download ITR V in Step 3.

Select ITR V/Acknowledgement for download in the fourth step.

After downloading the acknowledgement, the fifth step is to enter the password to open the document.

Within 120 days after the date of e-filing, print and sign the document, and deliver this document to CPC Bangalore.
