The Foo Fighters honor drummer Taylor Hawkins

Paul McCartney and Liam Gallagher joined the Foo Fighters in London on Saturday to honor Taylor Hawkins.

Hawkins, 50, died in Bogotá, Colombia, hours before Foo Fighters' Festival Estereo Picnic performance.

The band played together for the first time since Hawkins' death at a concert on Saturday.

The concert on Saturday was the first of two events to honor Hawkins.

On September 27 in Los Angeles, there will be a second concert to honor the singer.

The Hawkins family chose the charities Music Support and MusiCares to receive the money from the events.

In 1997, Hawkins joined Foo Fighters. He joined the band for "The Colour and the Shape" tour.
